Currently, they are seeking to enhance their team by recruiting a skilled Financial Advisory Specialist who will oversee key accounts in the Surrey area.


The primary responsibility of the Financial Advisory Specialist will be to cater to business clients within the educational sector. Previous experience in providing financial consultancy to schools, academies, and trusts will be considered a significant advantage.


As this is a consultancy position, it is crucial that candidates possess a valid driving license and have access to their own vehicle to facilitate travel to client locations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver training sessions to finance personnel on relevant financial software (PS Financials).
  • Provide absence cover for Senior Finance Officer / Manager roles as necessary.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts.
  • Assist clients with budget preparation and forecasting.
  • Support clients and auditors during the financial statement and year-end audit processes.
  • Advise clients on best practices in accordance with the Academies Financial Handbook.

Candidate Profile:
  • Accountancy qualification - ACA or ACCA preferred, but PQ or QBE will also be considered.
  • Experience in the education or charity sector is essential.
  • Familiarity with PS Financials software is desirable.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging with individuals at all levels.
  • Possession of a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Ability to pass a clean enhanced DBS check (initiated and funded by the business).

The office serves as a base for occasional meetings when necessary. On a daily basis, the successful candidate will primarily work from home and will be required to travel frequently to client sites. Mileage will be reimbursed at the HMRC rate.
