AV Operations Manager - Event Production

An exciting opportunity has arisen to become a vital part of a dynamic team in the West Midlands, where you will oversee all technical aspects within the warehouse and collaborate closely with the project management division.

Our client is a prominent player in the event production sector, specializing in audio-visual solutions. They partner with leading event agencies across the UK to provide a comprehensive range of audio, video, lighting, and streaming technologies for both live and hybrid events. Their portfolio includes a variety of occasions, from corporate conferences to product unveilings, brand activations, and large-scale festivals. With a well-equipped warehouse filled with cutting-edge AV technology, they are seeking an AV Operations Manager to enhance their busy team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical authority, providing support to both the warehouse personnel and freelance teams, as well as the project management staff.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in technology and equipment within the industry, conducting research and specifications for potential acquisitions.
  • Oversee the preparation and testing of equipment by the warehouse team, ensuring that all rental gear is maintained and compliant with current standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations Director, adapting to the diverse challenges that arise in this multifaceted role.

Candidate Profile

Proven technical expertise in audio-visual equipment for live and corporate events is essential, ideally gained within a rental or production environment. This position is primarily warehouse-based, with occasional travel to events as necessary. Experience in areas such as equipment procurement, cost management, and maintaining compliance of the rental inventory would be advantageous. This role is particularly suited for an experienced AV Technician seeking a position with reduced travel requirements.
