Job Summary
We are seeking an exceptional Financial Officer to join our dynamic team at the University of Oxford. The successful candidate will contribute to the day-to-day running of the Finance Office, working closely with the Finance Manager to ensure the smooth operation of financial and research administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage specific aspects of the department's financial and research administration, including the administration of government-funded bursaries and associated audit requirements.
- Ensure compliance with the University's financial and personnel regulations, as well as statutory legislation.
- Contribute to ad-hoc project work, providing financial input and expertise as required.
Requirements
- Hold or be working towards AAT (or equivalent) or have significant relevant experience in Financial Administration.
- Proven knowledge of financial management systems and ability to interpret complex financial concepts.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently.
Working Arrangements
The post holder will be based at the University of Oxford, working closely with the Finance Manager and other team members to achieve the department's financial and administrative objectives.
