Job Description

Job Title: Head of Player and Coach Development

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to lead our player and coach development initiatives. As the Head of Player and Coach Development, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive coaching curriculum and games program that aligns with our club's vision and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a coaching curriculum that meets the needs of our players and coaches
  • Design and deliver a games program that promotes player development and team success
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to our coaches to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality coaching
  • Collaborate with our Academy Manager to develop and implement a player development plan that aligns with our club's vision and goals
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our coaching curriculum and games program, making adjustments as needed
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other clubs and organizations to stay up-to-date on best practices in player and coach development

Requirements:

  • UEFA A License
  • FA Advanced Youth Award 5-11
  • FA Safeguarding Workshop
  • FA Level 2 Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAiF)

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Elite Head of Coaching (EHOC)
  • European Mentoring and Coaching Council Foundation Award

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of the rules and regulations of the FA, EFL, and Premier League for Youth Development
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills

Experience:

  • Coaching experience within a professional football club
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and pressurized environment
  • Experience in a similar role that involves working in an elite learning and/or performance environment
