About the Role

GSK is a global biopharma company with a special purpose – to unite science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together. We're seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our BioPharm Process Research team, where you'll play a key role in driving data-driven advances in cell line generation, characterisation and selection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and improve complex interactive scientific dashboards to enable data exploration and decision making for scientists in the department
  • Apply advanced data analysis and data wrangling to identify relationships between key cellular and process characteristics and product quality
  • Contribute to the development of predictive models as required, using data generated across BPR and partner groups, to answer portfolio questions and enable data-driven decision making
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in engineering, data science, mathematical, statistical or other related discipline
  • Good understanding of scientific principles
  • Alternatively, bachelor's degree on life sciences or related field with further specialization on data science
  • Very good knowledge of at least one programming language, e.g., Python, SQL, R or similar
  • Hands on experience with data analytics & wrangling techniques and their application
