Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team providing assessment and support to children and young people with complex neurodevelopmental profiles.
The successful candidate will offer specialist psychological provision to children and young people, including participation in multidisciplinary evaluation, diagnosis, support planning, and psycho-education. This role offers opportunities for professional development and involvement in research.
Main Responsibilities- Participate in multidisciplinary evaluation and diagnosis of children and young people with complex neurodevelopmental profiles
- Develop and implement individualized support plans for children and young people
- Provide psycho-education to children and young people and their families
- Contribute to the development of research projects and studies
- Collaborate with other professionals to provide a comprehensive service
The role is part of the multidisciplinary second opinion and complex autism assessment service (SCASS). The service provides autism diagnostic assessment to children and young people aged 4-17 without identified intellectual disability.

Person Specification- Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996)
- Registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council as Practitioner Psychologist
- Experience of working as a qualified psychologist
- Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course and presenting with the full range of clinical severity
- Knowledge of legislation in relation to children and young people and child protection
- Formal training in supervision of other psychologists
- Experience of supervising qualified clinical psychologists
- Previous training in and/or experience of working within specialist paediatric neurodevelopmental services
- Experience of using cognitive assessments with children
