Role OverviewRoan Edge Quarry, located near Kendal in Cumbria, is a key site in one of the UK's most stunning regions. The quarry is perfectly positioned to contribute to the production of essential construction materials that build communities. As a Quarry Operative, you will play a vital role in our operations, ensuring the efficient extraction and processing of materials.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain quarry machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Ensure quality control of materials and adherence to safety protocols to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Load materials, manage supplies, and maintain cleanliness of the site to ensure efficient operations.
- Act as a responsible person on site in the manager's absence, demonstrating leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a similar role within the construction materials industry, with a strong understanding of quarry operations and safety protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach to ensure efficient operations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to work effectively with colleagues and management.
