Job Title: Accounts Payable and Receivable Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable and Receivable Officer to join our team at Humberside Police. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering an effective and comprehensive accounts payable and receivable function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver an effective and comprehensive accounts payable and receivable function
  • Ensure the effective and efficient running of the accounts payable and receivable function
  • Manage the accounts payable and receivable team to ensure all invoice processing deadlines are met
  • Provide specialist advice and support regarding accounts payable and receivable, systems and projects
  • Oversee, coordinate and promote the implementation of all accounts payable and receivable policies across the force
  • Manage the accounts receivable team to ensure that all income received is identified and matched to debts where applicable

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Level 4 AAT or equivalent
  • Significant experience working within a financial function
  • Report writing, analysis and extrapolation of data
  • Making accurate decisions without direct regular supervision
  • Ability to interpret and analyse problems objectively leading to resolution at both an individual and organisational level without supervision
