Our Advisory teams lead the charge on significant international infrastructure projects, high-stakes global M&A transactions, and notable forensic investigations, all aimed at providing valuable solutions to complex financial challenges.

Our dedicated Technology Consulting and Assurance team offers IT assurance and advisory services to a broad spectrum of clients, both nationally and internationally. This diverse clientele, including those in the FTSE 350, provides a unique opportunity to gain experience across various sectors, such as:

Job Purpose

As a Senior Consultant in IT Audit within the national Technology & Digital team, you will report directly to the Manager or Senior Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver IT risk-based assurance services to a variety of clients across multiple sectors within the UK. Ensuring client satisfaction is crucial, and you will need to demonstrate exceptional communication and writing skills, along with the ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Execute daily IT Assurance tasks and reviews for a diverse range of clients across the UK, collaborating with the National practice and participating in closing meetings with client management, while serving as a key contact for both Senior Management and clients, keeping them informed of any arising issues and work progress;
  • Deliver work that meets the highest technical standards, ensuring compliance with established quality benchmarks;
  • Manage all tasks within budgetary constraints and ensure alignment with client KPIs;
  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with senior stakeholders within client organizations and within the firm;
  • Foster strong working relationships with clients, addressing any issues or requests promptly;
  • Maintain composure and control under pressure while recognizing urgent deadlines;
  • Respond effectively to the needs of clients and team members;
  • Mentor junior staff and actively contribute to their development in projects;
  • Assist the Senior Manager/Manager in overseeing specific work streams and staff within those streams;
  • Manage a portfolio of clients effectively;
  • Understand the broader capabilities of the Technology & Digital service line and how these can benefit clients;
  • Ensure that services provided are genuinely suited to client needs;
  • Identify and convert opportunities into new business.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
  • Hands-on experience in conducting IT assurance across various sectors or relevant IT work experience post-qualification;
  • Possession of or willingness to pursue relevant professional qualifications such as CISA, QiCA, ACCA, MIIA, or CIPFA;
  • A degree or postgraduate qualification in technology or business studies, or equivalent experience;
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Unix, Windows Server, and Linux, as well as databases like SQL, Oracle, and DB2;
  • Experience in project/implementation reviews for ERP systems such as SAP or MS Dynamics is advantageous;
  • Strong technical understanding of IT risks and current industry trends;
  • Proven experience in delivering services to a portfolio of clients;
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders;
  • Experience in mentoring and developing junior team members;
  • Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas while effectively delivering results;
  • Strong technical proficiency in audit methodologies combined with solid business acumen;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills demonstrated through report writing;
  • A desire to contribute to the growth and development of the department;
  • Ability to develop new initiatives and methodologies;
  • Experience in identifying issues through technical analysis and applying commercial insight;
  • Ability to articulate ideas with authority and confidence in both verbal and written forms;
  • Experience or interest in services such as Cyber, Data Privacy, Forensics, and Data Analytics would be beneficial.
