BakerHicks is seeking a skilled Construction Planning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed construction schedules, coordinating with various contractors and the CM team to ensure that all project activities are planned, tracked, and executed effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6 that reflect the project scope, milestones, and deadlines.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of construction activities, identifying potential delays and proposing corrective actions to keep the project on track.
  • Coordinate with Project Management, Construction management Engineering, and procurement teams to ensure that resources (labour, materials, equipment) are allocated efficiently and effectively.
  • Identify and assess potential risks to the project schedule, developing mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
  • Maintain accurate records of project schedules, changes, and progress reports. Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular site tours to assess progress, verify schedule adherence, and address any on-site issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • Extensive demonstrable relevant field construction planning experience on EPCM type projects in the pharma/chemicals industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred; relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Expert proficiency in project planning and scheduling using Primavera P6.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic and demanding environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in project planning and scheduling.
