Position Overview

We are well-regarded for our capacity to manage both extensive, complex undertakings and smaller enhancement initiatives or procurement strategies. Our focus is on crafting tailored plans that guarantee projects are completed as per the specifications, on time, and within financial limits.

We are currently in search of a field-based construction scheduling specialist to join our team on a significant EPCM project exceeding £200MM TIC, which is in its initial construction phase.

This role entails the development and upkeep of comprehensive construction timelines, collaborating with various contractors and the construction management team to ensure that all project tasks are planned, monitored, and executed proficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule Creation: Develop and maintain detailed construction timelines utilizing Primavera P6 that accurately reflect the project scope, key milestones, and deadlines.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track and report on the advancement of construction activities, identifying potential setbacks and suggesting corrective measures to keep the project aligned with its timeline.
  • Resource Coordination: Work alongside Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, and procurement teams to ensure efficient allocation of resources (labor, materials, equipment).
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate potential risks to the project schedule, formulating mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain precise records of project schedules, modifications, and progress reports, ensuring all documentation is current and accessible to relevant parties.
  • Site Evaluation: Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, verify adherence to schedules, and address any on-site challenges that may arise.
  • Process Improvement: Implement best practices in construction scheduling, consistently seeking opportunities to enhance processes and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Significant demonstrable experience in field construction scheduling on EPCM projects within the pharmaceutical or chemicals sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Expert-level proficiency in project planning and scheduling using Primavera P6.
