ROLE OVERVIEW :
This is an excellent opportunity to join a Public Sector organization, providing essential technical guidance in Building and Construction across a diverse estate throughout the UK.
The focus will be on ensuring compliance with statutory and mandatory regulations.Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that technical standards are upheld for all Core and Billable works executed by industry partners as part of a significant Facilities Management contract.
You will collaborate closely with Facilities Management partners to maintain a technically compliant estate, developing strategies and plans for ongoing compliance enhancement.
This position is hybrid, requiring office attendance three days a week.Occasional travel may be necessary, with a few overnight stays expected each month.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
As the expert in Building and Construction Services, you will deliver direct technical support to Estate Teams. The role involves working in partnership with Hard Facilities Management providers to ensure a technically compliant estate, devising strategies and plans for continuous compliance improvement.
You will also provide and implement compliance recommendations, offering innovative solutions in technical reporting for senior management, while liaising with Technical Services for in-depth technical support on Building and Construction matters.
The Building and Construction Services Specialist will be responsible for delivering and executing compliance recommendations and providing innovative insights in technical reports for senior management.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :
Previous experience in offering technical advice on construction, property, or facilities management projects from a Building and Construction perspective.
Proven experience in providing technical guidance on statutory and mandatory estate compliance from a Building, Construction, or Property viewpoint.
Strong communication skills to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders at a technical level, delivering clear and precise guidance.
Membership in a relevant professional organization, such as the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), or Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) is desirable.
