Position Overview

DPP is a prominent independent consultancy specializing in planning solutions across the UK. We are currently seeking an Assistant Town Planner to contribute to a variety of projects nationwide. The successful candidate will be expected to work in our Leeds office for a minimum of three days each week.

This role presents a unique opportunity to advance your career while providing outstanding planning services across diverse sectors, including education, energy, defense, healthcare, residential, retail, and large-scale mixed-use developments. Our clientele includes some of the most significant land developers, housebuilders, and retail operators in the country.

Our experienced senior leadership team offers continuous support and mentorship throughout your journey. DPP is dedicated to fostering professional growth, providing tailored learning and development opportunities, including regular training sessions and CPD webinars.

Essential Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

  1. RTPI accredited degree or a related qualification
  2. Currently pursuing MRTPI chartership
  3. 0-1 years of relevant experience or internships
  4. Strong organizational abilities with effective time management skills
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  6. Solid understanding of the planning framework
  7. Commercial insight
  8. Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications
