Senior Chartered Town Planner Opportunity in London

We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Senior Chartered Town Planner to join our client in shaping the future of London's urban landscape. As a key member of their team, you will be responsible for crafting sustainable, vibrant, and innovative communities that thrive amidst the city's dynamism.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a prominent urban planning and development consultancy that is committed to delivering impactful and sustainable projects that positively influence London's evolution. Our client's team comprises dedicated professionals passionate about creating spaces where people flourish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage complex planning projects from inception to successful completion.
  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities to understand needs, address concerns, and drive consensus.
  • Conduct comprehensive research, analysis, and assessments to inform strategic planning decisions.
  • Craft and submit robust planning applications, reports, and appeals.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
  • Stay abreast of evolving planning regulations, policies, and urban development trends in London.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Full membership with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
  • A degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Architecture, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of demonstrable experience in town planning, preferably within London.
  • Proven expertise in leading and delivering successful planning projects.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in planning software and GIS tools.
