Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our Nursing team in a busy Outpatient Clinic. As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients and developing your clinical skills under the supervision of qualified professionals.

Main Responsibilities

Key duties of the role include supporting qualified practitioners in the delivery of a five-day a week service, working under the overall supervision of a qualified professional, and being responsible for implementing delegated tasks that form part of the patient's care and reporting back to the supervising qualified professional.

Additional responsibilities include carrying out tests to provide the information required for a comprehensive surgical pre-assessment, including height, weight, blood pressure checks, ECGs, and blood tests.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess Level 2 or above healthcare qualifications, with evidence of good communication skills, including a well-written application form and descriptive application of skills for the role. Previous healthcare experience, preferably in a Band 2 role, is also desirable.

Disclosure and Barring Service checks will be required for this post, as per the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
