Accounting Specialist

Job Summary
Culina Group is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our business operations and providing financial insights to drive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including daily and weekly reporting, to ensure seamless business operations.
- Assist in enhancing internal financial controls and procedures to ensure effective implementation within the Operational Finance team.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, working closely with operational managers to drive financial results.
- Produce detailed weekly finance reports and set of accounts, using a range of financial tools and software.
- Develop and maintain a detailed set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive business performance and improve financial results.
- Liaise with the Subcontract Manager to ensure accurate revenue and cost accounting.
- Produce monthly management accounts, incorporating accruals and prepayments, to provide a comprehensive view of our financial performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely reporting and meet organizational deadlines.
- Work closely with Managers within the Business Unit to develop and present reforecast and budgets throughout the year.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, working closely with external auditors as required.
- Continuously review and enhance financial processes to improve accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide support in various general and non-specific areas to maintain business success and contribute to ad-hoc projects as needed.
Requirements
- Studying towards AAT/CIMA or equivalent accounting qualification.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
- Practical experience in financial analysis and reporting.
- Operational accounting experience, preferably in the logistics industry.
