Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Painter and Decorator Trainee to join our team at Recruitment Avenue. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional painting and decorating services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Surface Preparation: Ensure all surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and prepared for painting, including washing walls, repairing holes, and removing old paint.
  • Paint Application: Apply paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers, ensuring a high-quality finish.
  • Wallpaper Installation: Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper or fabric to walls, ensuring a precise and professional finish.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Client Communication: Work closely with clients to select colors and finishes, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Tool Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Recently completed a painting and decorating apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of various painting techniques and materials, ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong attention to detail, and good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical Demands: Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments, including on the road.

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Experience: 1 year of painting experience (preferred)

Licence/Certification: CSCS (preferred), Driving Licence (preferred)
