Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Paediatrician to join our dynamic team at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our paediatric services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Providing consultant-level care to patients on the general paediatric ward and admissions, level 1+ neonatal unit, labour ward, and transitional care.
  • Participating in the consultant of the week system, outpatients, and safeguarding sessions.
  • Developing and implementing clinical policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.

Requirements
  • MRCPCH or equivalent qualification.
  • CCT Paediatrics or within 6 months of CCT or equivalent.
  • On the GMC Specialist Register for Paediatrics.
  • Broad training in General Paediatrics.
  • Level 3 Neonatal Experience and Training.
  • Training in developmental and community paediatrics appropriate for a General Paediatrician.
  • Safeguarding training and experience.
  • Up-to-date APLS/NLS.
