About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Health Visiting Team as a Development Post. This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse who is considering applying to undertake a Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) programme and wishes to develop their skills and gain experience in a Generic Health Visiting skill mix team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a skill mix team with the Health Visiting Team to support the delivery of the Healthy Child Wales Programme from 0-5 years old.
  • Support the progression of nurses on to the SCPHN degree and provide guidance and mentorship as needed.
  • Assess health needs and develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care to meet the needs of children and their families.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines and agencies to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities.
Requirements
  • First-level registered nurse qualification.
  • Evidence of ongoing education and professional development.
  • Maintenance of professional development.
  • Desirable: RN Children's Nursing qualification, paediatric experience, supervision of staff, implementation of new ideas/practices, and experience of assessing and learning and mentoring student nurses.
Language Skills

Desirable: Welsh Speaker (Level 1).
