Job Summary:

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Card Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our procurement services department, you will be responsible for administering the state's charge card program, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train and advise cardholders on state and university policies, procedures, and systems
  • Develop and implement auditing and tracking tools to ensure program compliance
  • Assist in strategizing and carrying out short-term and long-term goals for the procurement services department
  • Administer terminations and dispute resolution for cardholders and department staff
  • Support the Commonwealth's SWaM procurement requirements and ensure compliance by end users/cardholders
  • Provide advisory services and training to university department staff on purchasing policies

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree with coursework in business administration or a related field
  • Experience working with large data and charge/corporate card reports
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Computer proficiency, including creating and updating complex Excel spreadsheets and creating complex Word documents

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with coursework in business administration, procurement, audit, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of charge card administration experience in a public sector environment
  • Virginia Contracting Associate (VCA) certification or ability to obtain within one year of employment
