About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled administrator to join our Liaison Psychiatry Team at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust. As an administrator, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to our team, ensuring the smooth operation of our services.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including service users, healthcare professionals, and other administrative staff. You will be proficient in Microsoft Office, with a strong understanding of keyboard skills and the ability to work accurately under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Liaison Psychiatry Team, including responding to correspondence, referrals, and reports.
  • Organize meetings and conferences, and provide efficient and timely faxing, photocopying, and emailing services.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with team members, service users, and other stakeholders.
  • Work effectively in a team environment, with a flexible and approachable attitude.
  • Ensure confidentiality and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Good standard of general education, e.g., GCSEs.
  • Good keyboard skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, proficient in MS Word.
  • Knowledge of working with spreadsheets, e.g., Excel.
  • Well-developed skills in communicating effectively with service users and other professionals.
  • Able to demonstrate good time management and organizational skills.
