Job Overview

As a Senior Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the Technology Risk Assurance (TRA) client portfolio alongside Partners and Directors, ensuring the efficient and precise execution of assignments at client locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the execution of assignments, which may include Internal Audit support, External Audit support, or IT Advisory, ensuring timely completion within budget while addressing any issues that arise.
  • Lead the TRA team and mentor junior staff to guarantee the effective delivery of TRA services.
  • Oversee a designated client portfolio within the regional area.
  • Conduct complex TRA assignments specifically within the Financial Services sector.
  • Act as a representative of the Firm in TRA-related matters, participating in client meetings and audit committees as necessary.
  • Assist in drafting proposals and contributing to the preparation of tenders, presenting these as part of business development efforts.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with clients, identifying and pursuing potential additional work opportunities with existing and prospective clients.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in IT Audit, Internal Audit, and Financial Services.
  • Demonstrated expertise in a specialized area, such as Cyber Risk Strategy.
  • Proficient in utilizing IT tools, including Excel, audit software, and accounting packages.
  • Strong technical knowledge of the internal audit process and relevant industry issues.
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are required due to potential national travel.

Desirable Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Information Systems.
  • Experience with SOX compliance.
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and ensure quality while managing personal workload and deadlines under supervision.
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment to completing assigned tasks.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and stay away from home when necessary (less than 30% of the time).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Active listening skills with the ability to take timely action when appropriate.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, with a flexible approach.
  • Focus on developing specialized knowledge areas.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
