Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team at Irlam Associates as a GSE Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining all types of Ground Service Equipment (GSE).

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform and demonstrate competence in preventive maintenance as per established schedules on all GSE, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to out-of-hours maintenance requests on all GSE, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize disruptions.
  • Troubleshooting and Diagnostic Assessment: Provide expert troubleshooting and diagnostic assessment of GSE faults, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • System Overhaul and Modification: Modify and overhaul power plant, drivetrain, brake, electric, and hydraulic systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • GSE Preparation and Painting: Prepare and paint ground support equipment in accordance with GSE branding policies, maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Unserviceable GSE Management: Remove or make safe unserviceable GSE, ensuring it is not returned to service until any faults have been properly diagnosed and repaired.
  • Emergency Service Calls and Accidents: Respond to emergency service calls and accidents involving GSE, providing prompt and effective assistance to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • GSE Operation and Driving: Operate and drive all types of GSE, including motorized and non-motorized equipment, with a high level of proficiency and safety awareness.
Requirements
  • A good level of mechanical and electrical engineering experience, as required.
  • Flexible to work on various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Physically fit, able to work in a manual environment and repeatedly lift.
