This role is crucial for the successful delivery of Sea Ceptor to various clients simultaneously, while also managing modifications for a growing number of international customers.
Position Title: Weapon Systems Engineer
Compensation: Up to GBP57,000, based on experience
Work Arrangement: Dynamic (hybrid) working model, typically requiring 3 days on-site per week, depending on workload classification.

Opportunity Overview:
Sea Ceptor is a highly regarded, innovative maritime air defence system that has secured numerous contracts both domestically and internationally.
As a Systems Engineer, you will support the ongoing development and maintenance of the Sea Ceptor Weapon System. Responsibilities include troubleshooting technical challenges and defining system architecture. The team also engages in trial support, combat system integration, verification, safety, security, and performance assessments.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing technical support for Export New Business across various system architecture topics.
- Defining system-level requirements, interfaces, and architecture, including adaptations for new Sea Ceptor variants.
- Assessing the implications of proposed design changes and conducting trade studies to maintain Sea Ceptor's effectiveness.
- Resolving technical issues as they arise in service.
- Ensuring system-level compliance and certification, including the creation of system verification documentation.
- Supporting both domestic and international Sea Ceptor programs.
- Assisting the Trials team at both MBDA facilities and external locations.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience in the Systems Engineering lifecycle, including requirement gathering, design management, and verification processes.
- Background in systems integration (mechanical, electrical, software) and interface definition.
- Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with RTC & DOORS is advantageous.
- Proactive and adaptable, able to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Quick to respond to shifting program priorities.
- A strong team player with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, essential for collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
