About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at Making Space. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to adults with complex mental health conditions, ensuring their needs are met and their lives are enhanced.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and delegate tasks to a dedicated team of support workers, ensuring values-based support is delivered to the highest standards.
  • Support adults with mental health illnesses on a person-centred basis, following care plans and administering medication as required.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure seamless support and effective communication.

Requirements

  • Previous extensive experience as a Support Worker, with a strong understanding of safeguarding and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience of supporting individuals with mental health conditions, with a focus on person-centred care.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service.
