About the Role

We are seeking an experienced consultant to join our economics and investment strategy team, where you will play a key role in helping secure investment in public sector infrastructure and technology. As a strategic consultant, you will combine strategy, economics, and financial expertise to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions for our clients.

Our team has a market-leading reputation for securing agreement to high-profile investments and has developed business cases for £50 billion of public sector investment over the last three years. You will have the opportunity to work on complex transformation programmes within the public sector, including central and local government, healthcare, transport, defence, and delivery organisations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver business cases for capital investment in the public sector
  • Work with senior clients to communicate technical concepts in a compelling and accessible way
  • Apply sound logic and analysis to support decision-making and recommendations
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver tangible outcomes
Requirements
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to balance strategic problem-solving with detailed analysis
  • Experience of using financial and economic models
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
Desirable Skills
  • Understanding of the HM Treasury Green Book and business case approach
  • Experience of developing large business cases for capital investment in the public sector
  • Better Business CasesTM accreditation
  • Use of MS Excel and other modelling tools
