Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Senior Inventory Officer to join our well-established and supportive team within the Fleet Services division of Lancashire County Council. This role is essential in supporting the operational needs of a diverse fleet comprising over 700 vehicles, plant, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of spare parts for all vehicles and equipment utilized by Lancashire County Council. This includes:

  • Ordering and issuing parts and tools to both internal and external facilities.
  • Receiving goods, verifying incoming stock, and organizing inventory within the stores.
  • Addressing account inquiries from suppliers and internal departments.

Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in a vehicle maintenance or engineering store environment. A thorough understanding of inventory management processes and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting is essential.
