About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Endoscopy Decontamination Technician to join our team at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.

As a key member of our decontamination team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient processing of flexible endoscopes, working closely with our clinical colleagues to provide high-quality decontaminated instruments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the day-to-day reprocessing of flexible endoscopes, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the decontamination team to ensure efficient and effective processing of instruments.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of decontamination procedures, including ISO13485 and JAG/BSG requirements.
  • Provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively with staff and users to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
  • Essential:
    • Numeracy and literacy skills.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
    • Able to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Desirable:
    • Previous decontamination experience.
    • IT literacy and ability to use relevant software systems.
