Position: Teaching Assistant (SEN/SEMH)

Location: Wem, Shropshire

Hours: 40 hours per week, term time

Salary Details: £21,720 per annum

As a Teaching Assistant at The Mews School, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal development of students with complex needs. Our school provides a safe and nurturing environment for students aged 11-18 who have experienced trauma, and we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a passion for working with young people and a commitment to making a positive impact on their lives.
  • Be able to work effectively with students who have behavioural challenges and complex needs.
  • Be punctual, flexible, and well-organised, with excellent communication skills.
  • Be able to work under pressure and in stressful situations, while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Be self-motivated and able to use their own initiative to support students and staff.
