About the Role

Avery Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Care Home Deputy Manager. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents.

Your primary focus will be to support the General Manager in operating a compliant and effective care home that provides a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for residents and their visitors. This will involve:

  • Providing inspirational leadership and management to the staff team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring that medication policies and procedures are adhered to, and supporting the reviewing of medication and administration.
  • Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changes that may impact on care and care plans.
  • Completing monthly audits, quality indicator reports, and other reports as required.
  • Attending weekly clinical meetings and monitoring clinical risk areas in the home.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of two years' experience working in a similar care environment, in a management position.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Sound knowledge of the Care Standards Act 2000, the key lines of enquiry, and safeguarding.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Please note that this role will require a DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare. You will also need to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
