Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sustainable practices across our health board, reducing our environmental impact and promoting green practices.
  • Lead initiatives that contribute to the overall health and well-being of our communities, working closely with stakeholders and experts in the field.
  • Establish an organisation-wide approach to Agile Working, engaging colleagues across the Health Board to develop a strategic approach.
  • Lead the development and deployment of an effective, comprehensive Facilities and Support Services function.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is the largest health organisation in Wales, with a budget of £ billion and a workforce of over 21,000 staff. We provide primary, community, mental health and acute hospital services for the population of North Wales.

Requirements

  • Master's degree level or equivalent management qualification or equivalent senior level experience.
  • Experience of working and contributing at Board level.
  • Extensive expertise and understanding of business planning, budget setting, commissioning processes, performance and change management, people management, and quality improvement.
  • In-depth understanding of the challenges facing the health service in Wales and the impact of working in a rural setting.
  • Understanding of the NHS modernisation agenda and using this knowledge to develop and implement strategy and service.
