About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy and dynamic environment, providing specialist care to patients with a range of ophthalmic conditions. You will be responsible for developing and implementing treatment plans, conducting surgeries, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of ophthalmic conditions
- Lead a team of healthcare professionals, including junior doctors, nurses, and other support staff
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including surgical procedures and medication management
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including optometrists, orthoptists, and other specialists
- Contribute to the development of our ophthalmology services, including service improvement initiatives and quality assurance

Requirements- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Name on the GMC Ophthalmology Specialist Register
- Wide experience in all aspects of ophthalmology, including glaucoma and cataract surgery
- Advanced subspecialty training in glaucoma
- Competence in performing high-volume and complex cataract surgery
