Main Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the education and development of nursing staff within the NHS Trust. This will involve facilitating education, training, and practice development to ensure high-quality patient care.

The post holder will contribute to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of education and training programs for registered and unregistered nursing staff. They will work closely with the senior management team to maintain and project the vision and objectives of the service, ensuring that they are embedded in practice.

The role will involve supporting the creation and delivery of clinical education programs, including the teaching and demonstration of clinical skills and medical devices. The post holder will also provide high-quality care as an expert practitioner and act as a role model and resource for advice, support, and guidance.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the education and development of nursing staff
  • Facilitating education, training, and practice development
  • Contributing to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of education and training programs
  • Working closely with the senior management team to maintain and project the vision and objectives of the service
  • Providing high-quality care as an expert practitioner
  • Acting as a role model and resource for advice, support, and guidance
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Significant post-registration experience at staff nurse/ODP level or equivalent
  • Education, training, and development of staff in a clinical setting
  • Working with a wide range of professionals including medical, nursing, and management colleagues
  • Clinical experience within the specialty
  • Clinical audit, standard setting, and interventions to improve standards of practice and patient care
