Job Title: Manufacturing Technician

Thales is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team at our Templecombe site. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for performing manufacturing operations in accordance with engineering drawings and documents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce high-quality electrical assemblies on time and to specification
  • Perform mechanical and electrical assembly operations, including routing, manufacturing instructions, wiring schedules, and drawings
  • Identify and log faults, and maintain necessary documentation
  • Ensure production equipment and tools are used and maintained to the required workshop standards
  • Meet 5S standards and ensure quality non-conformances are logged and escalated
  • Operate machinery and escalate blockers and issues to team leaders
  • Escalate health and safety issues to team leaders
Requirements:
  • Experience in a manufacturing background, preferably with electrical or mechanical engineering skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and be a motivated self-starter
  • Experience in building electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, mechanical assembly, machining, and wiring and soldering
  • Ability to interpret build packs, drawings, and wiring diagrams
  • Genuine interest in working in a technical manufacturing role and ability to grasp and develop technical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
