Job Summary

Fresh Direct is seeking a highly skilled Transport Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Transport Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing drivers' rotas, ensuring efficient route planning, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the activities of drivers and transport staff to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Plan and optimize routes to minimize delays and maximize productivity.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, driver hours, and other relevant data.
  • Collaborate with the Distribution Manager to develop and implement strategies to improve transport operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service by resolving delivery issues and communicating effectively with customers.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a transport or logistics role, preferably in a leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of transport legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership skills and ability to motivate and manage a team.
