An established automotive parts manufacturer with several locations in the UK is seeking a Quality Engineer to serve as the primary contact for customers, internal teams, and suppliers regarding quality and engineering matters throughout the project lifecycle.

The successful candidate will possess a background in first-tier automotive manufacturing and a solid understanding of quality management principles.


Key Locations:
Redditch, Coventry, Birmingham, Warwick, Stratford upon Avon, Leamington Spa, Worcester, Kidderminster, Stourbridge

Compensation Package:
£42,000 - £45,000 per annum + Pension + Free Parking

Ideal for Candidates with Experience in:
APQP Engineering, PPAP Engineering, Quality Coordination, Project Quality Management

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Quality Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting project management in identifying the necessary testing equipment and gauges to meet quality standards.
  • Participating in design evaluations and prototype production.
  • Leading the team in the development of control plans and facilitating PFMEA assessments.
  • Managing the documentation, tracking, and resolution of customer issues using 8D and other problem-solving methodologies.
  • Supporting supplier APQP and enhancing supplier development initiatives.
  • Contributing to product launches as needed through PPIR reports, interim PSW, and alerts.
Qualifications:
Candidates should be educated to HNC, HND, or degree level in a relevant manufacturing field and possess:
  • Demonstrated experience in quality engineering within a first-tier automotive setting.
  • Familiarity with quality best practices such as APQP and PPAP.
  • Experience in project-oriented quality management is preferred.
