The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Clinical Fellow to join our dedicated team within the Acute Medicine / Diabetes & Endocrine Service.

As a Clinical Fellow, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth running of our busy department. We are looking for an individual with a strong clinical foundation and a passion for delivering exceptional patient experiences.

Essential Requirements:
  • Possess relevant specialty clinical knowledge and the ability to apply sound clinical judgment in a practical setting.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in history taking, examinations, and basic medical procedures such as blood sampling and cannulation.
  • Hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Exhibit strong practical skills and a proven ability to work effectively across diverse clinical environments.
  • Possess experience in making clinical decisions, managing risk, and prioritizing patient needs while knowing when to seek further assistance.
  • Understand and demonstrate the principles of leadership, including empowering others, leading through change, influencing strategically, collaborative working, driving improvement, and upholding integrity.
  • Exhibit effective team working skills, strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to corporate responsibility and understanding of their responsibilities within the organization.
  • Have completed a Foundation Programme or equivalent experience.
  • Possess at least 2 years of experience at FY level and 2-3 years working at CMT level.
Desirable Requirements:
  • Familiarity with Acute Medicine / Diabetes & Endocrine Service.
  • Evidence of participation in audit processes and the implementation of changes resulting from audits.
  • Publication of relevant research in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Proven knowledge of NHS or equivalent systems and processes.
  • Previous experience within an NHS or UK hospital setting.
