Clinical Fellow in Obstetrics and Gynaecology

A vacancy has arisen in the Obstetrics & Gynaecology department for a Locum Appointment to Service ST1-2 Level due to a vacancy in the GPVTS Training Programme.
This is a service post that provides an excellent opportunity for a trainee seeking experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or individuals interested in embarking on a career in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
The post is a 1:7 full shift rota, which includes out-of-hours work.
About the DepartmentThe Obstetrics and Gynaecology department is a busy and dynamic unit that provides a wide range of services, including antenatal care, labour ward care, and gynaecological surgery.
The department is staffed by 12 Consultants, 1 Specialty Doctor, 1 CESR Fellow, 8 Specialty Trainees at ST3 and above, 1 ST1-2 trainee, and 6 GP/VTS trainees.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure that all patients are adequately clerked, investigations ordered, and results received, acted upon, and filed.
- Attend appropriate clinics and see selected patients under supervision.
- Work on the Labour Suite and ensure that patients receive prompt attention at all times.
- Be acquainted with all obstetric in-patients on the Obstetric Wards.

Requirements- Full registration and a licence to practise with the GMC.
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or a related field.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
