Electrical Test Engineer Job Description

Our client, a leading organisation in the manufacturing and engineering sectors, is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to join their team in a dynamic and challenging role. As part of this team, you will be responsible for ensuring that equipment meets high standards before it reaches the customer.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Commission products within required dates and to the highest quality standards.
  2. Conduct initial testing alongside commissioning on designated products.
  3. System assembly and QA testing for customer orders ready for shipment.
  4. Liaise with Geotechnical Systems Engineers to develop testing capabilities and provide feedback for improvements.
  5. Debug and problem solve issues with products both in-house and in the field.
Requirements:
  1. Experience within an engineering environment, preferably in Materials, Electronics, or Mechanical fields.
  2. Basic understanding and confidence in working with electronic/electrical components and systems.
  3. Ability to think logically and fault find software, mechanical, and electrical issues.
  4. Knowledge or experience of sensors, transducers, and electro-mechanical systems would be advantageous.
  5. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manuals.
  6. Proficiency in learning in-house developed software packages.
  7. Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
  8. Flexible approach to work and ability to collaborate with team members.
  9. Experience with Microsoft Office for report writing and data interpretation.
  10. High standard of housekeeping, cleanliness, and tidiness.
