Key Responsibilities
In the role of Channel Sales Enablement Program Manager, you will engage with leaders across the go-to-market organization to identify requirements and deliver programs tailored for Trimble's indirect sales channel within the AECO sector (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) on a global scale, with a primary emphasis on Europe. Your focus will be on developing and executing sales enablement strategies that equip the indirect sales team with essential training and resources to enhance skills, maximize opportunities, effectively communicate product value, and secure deals - ultimately driving sales growth. You will collaborate with sales enablement colleagues to adapt direct sales content to meet the specific needs of the channel, thereby accelerating onboarding and skill enhancement, increasing product knowledge, and optimizing tools. You will play a pivotal role in a collaborative, innovative, and enjoyable Center for Excellence team.
- Work closely with channel sales leaders to pinpoint and create enablement aligned with sales objectives and seller competencies, providing ongoing support and coaching to ensure best practices are implemented.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to facilitate enablement (process and content) that aligns with business goals and is designed for effective learning.
- Develop scalable procedures for global channel communications and training, utilizing existing content and programs whenever feasible.
- Design and oversee learning and enablement initiatives to promote seller success:
- Conduct needs assessments to outline strategy and content.
- Create and develop training and evaluation materials for various delivery formats, including in-person classroom training, virtual instructor-led training, e-learning (videos, job aids), and role-playing scenarios.
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts to plan and develop training objectives, goals, and all course materials for training modules, assessments, tools, and events.
- Ensure all materials comply with instructional design principles and interactive usability tailored to customer needs.
- Evaluate key performance indicators and measure program effectiveness.
- Extend core technologies to Trimble's indirect channel, specifically for accessing content and learning.
- Implement metrics to assess the effectiveness of training and development initiatives, making adjustments as necessary.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of indirect sales channels, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Collaborate with sales operations to refine processes, enhance efficiency, and boost sales effectiveness.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among indirect sales partners, fostering a supportive and synergistic environment.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in designing and implementing training programs within a sales context to enhance sales capabilities; demonstrated expertise in needs analysis and developing learning programs to address identified needs; ability to effectively create and develop learning content including training, job aids, documentation, and videos.
- 5+ years of professional experience in sales, sales enablement, or learning & development, preferably within a hardware or software organization.
- Familiarity with all components of the ADDIE model, from Analysis and Design through to developing and monitoring Evaluation models.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience conducting independent interviews with stakeholders and subject matter experts at all organizational levels.
- Highly organized, self-motivated team player with a willingness to remain open to others' ideas and to explore new approaches.
- Strong customer-service orientation and a commitment to delivering timely, high-quality solutions to customer challenges.
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, or a related field.
- Experience utilizing eLearning authoring tools (such as Articulate Storyline / Rise) to create online learning modules.
- Experience managing learning management systems and/or sales enablement platforms; familiarity with CRM management systems, Salesforce preferred.
