Construction Manager

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team at Scottish Power. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for managing the development and delivery of electrical projects from concept to closure.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development and delivery of project scopes from concept to closure in line with CAPEX for numerous projects.
- Direct the management and delivery of project outputs to ensure regulatory compliance with Health and Safety Law, CDM regulations 2015, and Environmental Legislation.
- Drive the commercial management and administration of each package of work to control CAPEX risk in line with Contractual Terms and Conditions with external stakeholders.
- Direct, deliver, manage, and monitor regulatory outputs in line with programmed milestones.
- Manage, collaborate, and monitor all supply, civil, electrical, cable, and OHL packages to ensure all Health & Safety and O&M of the built environment is recorded, validated, and stored for future design & maintenance use.
- Proven knowledge and experience in planning and managing specifications, designs, maintenance, construction, and commissioning of Electrical works within a Transmission substation environment.
- Strong ability to interpret Electrical schematic and wiring design drawings in relation to primary plant installation and protection & control systems.
- Basic knowledge in engaging and delivering civil, OHL, and cable packages of work.
- Strong leadership & planning skills.
- Experience in Contract Management, including the control and agreement of variations and claims.
- Effective awareness of the management of NEC / FIDIC Conditions of Contract.
- Proven ability to lead, manage, and collaborate on project outputs with a team and all external stakeholders.
- Knowledge and understanding of Line Management responsibilities, demonstrating an appreciation of HR processes and procedures.
