The Care Bureau is seeking a dedicated individual with substantial experience in the care industry, ideally possessing at least one year in a supervisory role. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team member with exceptional organizational abilities. A successful candidate will exhibit diligence, mindfulness, and a keen attention to detail, along with strong communication skills and effective problem-solving capabilities.

As a Field Care Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting Care Workers and clients in the community, providing essential guidance and fostering strong working relationships. This position involves a mix of office duties and fieldwork, including visiting clients, their families, and other Care Professionals. You will be responsible for delivering care services and collaborating closely with the Scheduler, Registered Manager, and the entire team. A positive and approachable demeanor is essential as you work to ensure the highest quality of care for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing Care Workers and other designated junior staff in the field
  • Support the Scheduler in preparing weekly care worker rotas
  • Conduct care assessments and reviews
  • Perform spot checks and audits
  • Collaborate with the Scheduler to ensure efficient rota planning considering travel time
  • Assign care tasks to appropriate Care Workers based on individual needs and worker skills
  • Liaise with partner professionals and organizations to develop and deliver holistic, person-centered care packages
  • Support the Care Manager with client visits as needed, which may include providing personal care
  • Ensure all carer and client records are maintained accurately and updated as necessary
  • Provide coverage for care calls as required
  • Participate in the on-call out-of-hours service as needed
  • Assist the Care Manager in recruiting new carers, including conducting interviews and managing compliance

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a senior role within the care sector
  • Compassionate individuals committed to making a difference
  • Availability for shifts from 6:30 am to 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 10:30 pm, including alternate weekends
  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle
