Fire Cadet Games Event Coordinator

Main Purpose of the Post

The South Wales Fire and Rescue Service is seeking a highly skilled and experienced event coordinator to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of the National Cadet Firefighter Games 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the event runs smoothly, safely, and within budget, while delivering a memorable experience for all participants and attendees.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive project plan for the games, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  2. Coordinate all event logistics, including equipment procurement, transportation arrangements, and venue management.
  3. Lead and manage a team of volunteers and staff, providing clear direction and support to ensure the successful delivery of the event.
  4. Develop and manage the event budget, ensuring all expenses are tracked and reported in a timely manner.
  5. Secure sponsorships and manage relationships with sponsors to support event funding.
  6. Track and report on financial performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
  7. Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, including participants, other fire & rescue services, sponsors, vendors, and community partners.
  8. Organise and facilitate stakeholder meetings as needed.
  9. Ensure all activities comply with regulations and safety standards.
  10. Make appropriate arrangements to safeguard the participants.
  11. Collaborate with the SWFRS media team and NFCC to develop and execute promotional strategies to increase event visibility and participation.
  12. Manage communications, including social media updates and participation information.
Standard Service Requirements
