Position Overview
Reporting To: Camp Leader
Contract Type: Seasonal employment available during school holidays.
Working Hours: 8am - 6pm on weekdays. Opportunities for full-time or part-time positions. Additional hours may be required for evening activities, compensated as overtime.
Role Summary
The Ultimate Survival Instructor is responsible for delivering engaging and structured outdoor programs and workshops for children aged 7 to 14.
Your role will involve guiding groups through scheduled courses, emphasizing enjoyment, teamwork, and skill enhancement while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement activities for children aged 7-14, prioritizing engagement, development, and enjoyment while collaborating with fellow staff.
- Foster enthusiasm and participation through a positive and energetic approach.
- Adhere to all camp policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding regulations.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the camp facilities, participating in orientation and end-of-season activities.
- Act as a group leader, providing support and care for children throughout their camp experience while promoting their welfare.
- Supervise children during non-activity times, including sign-in/out periods and meal breaks.
- Embody the company's mission of 'Inspiring Children Every Day' and maintain professional conduct throughout your employment.
- Exhibit the necessary energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism, serving as a role model for participants.
- Perform additional tasks as needed, including equipment maintenance and site upkeep.

Essential Qualifications
- Dynamic and enthusiastic individual with a passion for working with children and facilitating their growth through adventurous activities.
- Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
- Experience in outdoor education, particularly in bushcraft, along with a background in working with children.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in leading groups of children.
- Adaptable team player, capable of responding to changing situations and challenges.
- Aiming for a rewarding and enjoyable role during school holidays, with potential for career advancement in outdoor education or childcare.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Ideally pursuing or holding NGB qualifications in adventurous activities such as archery, bushcraft, or mountaineering.
- Experience in a similar camp environment, working with children aged 7 to 14.
- Current outdoor or pediatric first aid certification.
