Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of new and existing product development initiatives.
- Foster innovation by leveraging knowledge of ingredients, technologies, and market trends.
- Implement innovation projects according to established timelines and budgets, from initial concept to market launch.
- Collaborate with quality assurance and packaging teams on trials and new technology implementations.
- Coordinate sensory evaluations and consumer testing to gather valuable feedback.
- Drive continuous improvement projects from ideation to market readiness.
- Manage factory trials, scale-ups, and product launches, ensuring adherence to protocols and reporting standards.
- Provide guidance on nutritional labeling and packaging design.
- Engage with external partners on research initiatives and testing methodologies.
- Work collaboratively within a multifunctional project team to bring products to market.
- Occasional travel to manufacturing facilities may be required.
Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A strong passion for innovation in the beverage sector.
- Proven formulation experience, particularly within the beverage and alcoholic drink categories.
- Demonstrated experience managing new product development projects, supported by a solid understanding of food science and manufacturing processes.
- A track record of successfully implementing projects in a food manufacturing context.
- Comfort in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- A degree in Food Science or a related field, or equivalent experience in managing food development projects.
- A comprehensive understanding of good manufacturing practices and food quality assurance systems; HACCP Level 2 certification is highly desirable.
- Exceptional presentation and project management skills.
- Effective communication abilities across all organizational levels.
