About the Role
The Scottish Government is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Head of Portfolio, Finance and Business Management. This role will be a key member of the Chief Digital Office Senior Management Team and will be responsible for leading the management of a range of projects across the division.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with senior stakeholders to discuss portfolio and resourcing matters, ensuring alignment with the Social Security Programme's goals and objectives.
- Work collaboratively with other branches to examine resource levels, agree financial allocations, and prioritize project resource allocation.
- Build strong relationships with senior leaders across the organization, fostering a culture of empathy and collaboration to drive positive outcomes.
- Translate complex financial information into clear and concise language for non-finance staff, ensuring effective communication and decision-making.
- Provide expert advice on financial matters, including VAT and depreciation of capital assets, to Agency and Central Finance colleagues.
