About The Role

Gleeds is seeking a highly skilled Cost Manager to join our team in Manchester. As a Cost Manager, you will be responsible for managing costs and budgets of large-scale new build projects, extensive CAT A, B and C fit out works across various locations in the North Region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives.
  • Engage with Customers and develop, grow and maintain Customer relationships.
  • Deliver high quality services and ensure that cost management deliverables meet Customers' requirements.
  • Manage projects to deliver high quality services and deliverables in accordance with the business procedures.
  • Prepare and present order of cost estimates and option studies.
  • Cost planning.
  • Cost-in-use studies.
  • Advise on and implement procurement strategies.
  • Prepare tender documentation and manage the tender process, including designing tender marking schemes.
  • Evaluate and report on tenders.
  • Value completed work and arrange for payments.
  • Settle final accounts.
  • Provide technical advice on legal and contractual issues relating to construction projects.
  • Administer contracts as Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent.
  • Produce and present reports to Customers.
  • Mentor and coach employees to their full potential.
  • Identify new business development opportunities and drive growth across the Business Units activities.
  • Prepare bids for services.
  • Manage service delivery for profit.
  • Advise Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance
