About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and young people with a range of physical, emotional, and developmental needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy services to children and young people in a variety of settings, including schools, clinics, and community-based services.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and therapists, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify the needs and abilities of children and young people, and develop strategies to support their development and participation in daily activities.
  • Provide education and training to children, young people, and their families on occupational therapy techniques and strategies to promote independence and participation.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of occupational therapy services and policies within the trust.
Requirements
  • Recognized Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent.
  • Health and Care Professions Council - Licence to Practice.
  • Registered Member of professional body.
  • Minimum of 5 years paediatric experience.
  • Experience of providing line supervision and/or clinical supervision in area of clinical specialism.
  • Experience of creating profession-specific documentation (care pathways/leaflets).
  • Experience of partnership working with internal and external stakeholders.
