Job Title: CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator to join our team at Omega Resource Group. As a key member of our precision engineering team, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC Mills using Heidenhain controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately read and interpret technical drawings to machine a variety of materials to customer-specific processes and requirements.
  • Perform duties as assigned by management, maintain a safe and clean workspace, and follow established safety rules and regulations.
  • Report breakdowns, equipment faults, and concerns to management.
  • Be actively involved in improvement activities to support departmental and company objectives.
  • Ensure all lost time, minor, and trivial accidents are reported.
  • Undertake continuous training and development.
  • Support the engineering team with quotations if required.
  • Assist in tooling buy-off and trials.
  • Ability to self-inspect own work using precision inspection tools and devices.
  • Assembling, fitting, and repairing tools.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a small team.
  • Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of poor quality.
  • Previous experience within the aerospace tool making industry advantageous.
  • Engineering apprenticeship as a tool maker or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years previous experience working in a tool making/engineering environment.
  • Experience working with an MRP system and following standard operating procedures/work order instructions.
