CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator to join our team at Omega Resource Group. As a key member of our precision engineering team, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC Mills using Heidenhain controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately read and interpret technical drawings to correctly machine a variety of materials to customer-specific processes and requirements.
- Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management, maintaining a safe and clean workspace and following established safety rules and regulations.
- Report breakdowns, equipment faults, and concerns to management.
- Be actively involved in improvement activities to support the achievement of departmental and company objectives.
- Ensure all lost time, minor, and trivial accidents are reported.
- Undertake continuous training and development.
- Support the engineering team with quotations if required.
- Assist in tooling buy-off and trials.
- Ability to self-inspect own work using precision inspection tools and devices.
- Assembling, fitting, and repairing tools.
Requirements:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work alone or as part of a small team.
- Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of poor quality.
- Previous experience within the aerospace tool making industry advantageous.
- Engineering apprenticeship as a tool maker or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years previous experience working in a tool making/engineering environment.
- Experience working with an MRP system and following standard operating procedures/work order instructions.
